As a source of growth and support for Saluda School District One, our new Educational Foundation’s mission is to support the educational process and enrich the quality of life in our community by raising and managing funds. Through gifts from our terrific partners, we will support and recognize outstanding work in our district that provides amazing educational opportunities for our students. Mission Statement: "Celebrating Success in Saluda County Schools" through school and teacher grants, student and teacher scholarships and communication of these success stories to the community using innovative funding.

Contributions to the foundation will be used to provide grants to schools and teachers for innovative programs, to provide staff development both district wide and for individual teachers, teacher scholarships for teachers to further their education and certification, to provide more student scholarships and to communicate successes to the community using various media outlets.

 

Statement of Purpose:

Saluda County Education Foundation is a nonprofit corporation established in the county of Saluda, South Carolina. The organization’s primary purpose is to increase opportunities for students in the Saluda County School District and make every effort to provide quality education to students in the Saluda County area. The organization is created to support the educational programs of both the students and staff of the Saluda County School District, in addition to providing other supportive services as these needs are identified.

 

OUR Beginning…

The Saluda School District One Educational Foundation was formed in 2022 as a 501(c)(3) organization to serve as a source of funds to support district programs and initiatives that are outside the scope of the district’s Annual Fund budget. The Educational Foundation is governed by a board of directors made up of district school board members, representatives from local businesses, civic organizations, the district superintendent, the district teacher of the year, and community citizens.

 

It is our intention that, the Educational Foundation establish itself in our community as a continuously growing and evolving support arm of the district. The alternative sources of funding generated through the Educational Foundation will focus on a variety of important initiatives, including, but not limited to, grants for teachers and schools and amazing programs that enhance the quality of educational experiences for students in Saluda School District One.
