It is 2013 and we are off to a fast start! We have been implementing the Common Core State Standards for Reading and Math in 5K - 2nd grade. These new standards present a big challenge, however our teachers are maintaining high expections for the students and working together to make the transition. When it comes to the heavy lifting, Saluda Primary teachers and staff don't hold the door! The construction of the Outdoor Classroom by members of the scouting community is complete and we look forward to using it throughout the year. Students are accessing after school programs sponsored by Saluda Baptist and Riverside Community Center. Students are constantly reminded of careers in our school theme, weekly jobs in classrooms, and our Job of the Month. We continue to ensure our campus is safe and secure in the wake of the tragedy in Connecticut. Our 2nd semester will surely be one of high achieving students with dedicated and caring teachers.
