Education: I attended Saluda schools and later Winthrop College studying history, anthropology and geology. My graduate school is USC where I studied archaeology and early medieval history and later returned to get a degree in Library and Information Science.
I'm from Saluda and attended Saluda Primary back when it was Saluda Elementary. I'm married to Russell Altman and we have two children, Ethan and Katie. My interests are gardening, cooking, and playing with my kids. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, history and particularly, mysteries and detective stories.
I have two goals as a Library Media Specialist: to foster a love of reading by helping my students and teachers find books that interest them and to instill media literacy by teaching them the skills they'll need to evaluate information in an information rich world.
