Beginning January 1 of 2014, the format of the GED test and the price to take the test will significantly change. The test will only be offered on computer and the price will increase from $80.00 to $150.00. Students who have not passed all parts of the test by December 21, 2013, will have to re-take the entire GED battery of tests to gain a passing score. Therefore, it is very important for people who have begun the GED process to complete it by December 31, 2013. The Saluda County Adult Education Program is open to persons 17 years old and older who are not enrolled in high school and do not have a high school diploma. We offer basic education, high school diploma courses, GED preparation, WorkKeys preparation and testing, Family Literacy, and English as a Second Language. Prospective students may enroll at any time between August and May. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Come by or give us a call at 864-445-3346.
